Jeff Argens

Fourth-generation Owner & CEO

Since becoming the company's fourth-generation owner and CEO in 1990 at age 30, Jeff has successfully transitioned the company from a traditional lock shop into a full service security company.

In addition to managing the company, Jeff still works directly with clients and is the company electrical administrator for divisions 6 (limited energy) and 10 (gates & doors). He maintains the quality service started by his great-grandfather in 1880 and demands the same from each of his now 31 employees.

Jeff is a member of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce and the Manufacturing Industrial Council. He majored in economics at University of Washington. He began his career as a locksmith as a young child working next to his grandfather and father. Recently, Puget Sound Business Journal profiled Jeff and the longevity of his family business.

Steve Stumpf

Vice President of Operations

Since joining Argens seventeen years ago, Steve has led the company's effort to provide diverse high technology solutions to their customers. Since launching the Electronic Securities Division in 1993, Steve has helped Argens technicians become regional experts in access control, CCTV, digital recording and, now, biometrics.

With twenty years of experience as a locksmith, Steve has been apart of the dramatic evolution of the security industry and continues to work with clients to ensure their security needs are met. Recently he was a guest speaker on security trends for the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development.

Ruth Jenkins, C.B.

Finance and Operations Manager

Ruth brings to Argens more than 10 years of accounting and operational management experience. Since joining the team in early 2008, Ruth's responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the company as related to financial reporting, inventory management, human resources, safety and compliance.

As a general manager in the low-voltage wire industry, Ruth oversaw consistent double-digit company growth each year of her nine year employ. Later, she would further her in-depth understanding of accounting and operational management as a multi-branch office and accounting manager in the logistics field.

An active member of the American Society for Women Accountants and the American Society for Professional Bookkeepers, Ruth is thrilled by the opportunity at Argens to apply her strong inventory management and finance experience.
