HID proximity readers were used to replace existing swipe & insert card readers. The system controls elevators and perimeter entries on all six buildings. Each building communicates to a database server over the network backbone, with multiple workstations administering the system. This system controls forty-seven doors using heat sensitive keypads. Numerous doors utilize the door position-monitoring package. [top] NOAA DSX Access Control System using Motorola proximity technology installed at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration complex in Seattle. This is a multiple building installation. The DSX system controls the automatic gates at the base entrance and numerous doors in buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 32, 33. Both door position monitoring and guard tours are utilized at this facility. Also installed is the Intellex Digital Video Recording system by Sensormatic. The system is covering the facility with 32 cameras and monitored by the security staff in a combination of direct and LAN access.
